Whales 2009! The whale-watching opportunities during our five-day and seven-day Alaska's Wildlife expeditions are extraordinary. We expect to observe a variety of humpback whale feeding behaviors, including bubble-net feeding, where whales swimming in circles while blowing bubbles to form a curtain to corral in a mass of tiny fish. At times, they will also practice lunge feeding, breaking the surface in unison, mouths fully open, and throat cavities expanded like an accordion. Majestic mountains, bears, eagles, sea lions, seals, orcas, sea otters, and old-growth rainforest also await us on this unique adventure.
